About ICA
Foreign Claims Handling Specialists
Loss adjusting company established in 1953.

Handling claims across the continent

Intercontinental Adjusters Limited was established in England as a loss adjusting company in 1953. Initially Intercontinental Adjusters Limited specialised in general fire and flood loss adjusting for the Lloyd’s and UK company market. More than 60 years later ICA still handles fire and flood claims but our client portfolio is far more diverse.

During the 1970’s ICA commenced handling Green Card claims and general liability claims for European Insurers based outside the UK. Following continued expansion of our European client portfolio ICA (Europe) Ltd was incorporated in the year 2000 in order to concentrate upon cross border insurance claim handling. ICA (Europe) Ltd opened a branch office Dublin, Republic of Ireland, and ICA now has contracts with more than 80 European Insurers located in more than 25 countries.

In a market where many of our direct competitors are owned by law firms, or insurance companies, ICA remains completely independently owned. ICA believe that the core values of successful claims handling are integrity, prudence and independence. In 2010 ICA installed integrated solicitor case management and accounting software which prevents cross pollution of client money. ICA’s independence has enabled it to provide bespoke claims handling solutions to clients which have facilitated sustained growth of the company over a period of 60 years. Long term planning and prudent accounting have enabled ICA to establish a strong and secure financial status.

In January 2015 ICA relocated from Enfield, Middlesex to larger, modern offices in Turnford, Hertfordshire. This move will facilitate the continued modernisation and expansion of ICA.
